TV Antennas, Sapphire Beach

Sapphire Beach roofs cop the salt and pull their signal from up the coast. Antenna installs, reception, wall mounting and satellite TV, set up for both.

Your local TV team in Sapphire Beach

Sapphire Beach television comes down the coast, not in from the mountain like most of Coffs. The primary transmitter is Emerald Heights, 8.9 km to the north, and it is the only vertically polarised TV site on this coast, so antennas here are mounted in a different plane to most of the region and aimed just east of north. Sealy Lookout, above Korora, is the local backup. We meter both at your roof, set up for the stronger one, and mount TVs neatly inside while the ladder is out.

The suburb is mapped at zero kilometres from the coast at Riecks Point, so corrosion is the standing enemy here: brackets, connectors and cable give out well before the antenna does. We build against that, and we check the full cable run rather than just the aerial.

Our most commonly asked questions

Which tower should a Sapphire Beach antenna face?

Emerald Heights, 8.9 km north, carrying channels 28 to 32, is the primary here, and it is vertically polarised. The alternative is Sealy Lookout above Korora on channels 41 to 45, horizontally polarised. They need different antenna setups, so we meter both at the house and commit to whichever reads stronger.

Why is my antenna mounted sideways compared to others in the street?

That is polarisation, not a mistake. An antenna facing Emerald Heights has its elements vertical because that tower transmits vertically, the only one on this coast that does. One facing Sealy Lookout or Mount Moombil sits in the usual horizontal position. Two houses in the same street can legitimately carry antennas mounted in different planes.

Can Sapphire Beach use the Mount Moombil signal like the rest of Coffs?

The coverage data does not favour it here. Sapphire Beach sits where the coastal towers do the work: Emerald Heights first, Sealy Lookout second. That is why antennas in this suburb point along the coast rather than west at the mountain.

What fails first on a beachside antenna setup?

The hardware around the antenna: mounts, brackets, connectors and exposed cable. At zero kilometres from the coast the salt gets into all of it, and a corroded connection drops a picture just as thoroughly as a broken antenna. That is why our coastal installs use corrosion-resistant mounts and stainless fixings, and why we inspect the whole run, roof to wall plate.

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes. One year on parts and two years on workmanship, plus free phone advice if something plays up after we have gone.

My picture keeps dropping out, can you fix reception?

Most reception problems come down to the antenna, the cabling or the signal level. We test it on site and fix the actual cause, not just the symptom.

Can you get me internet where there is no good signal?

Yes. We install and align Starlink, and fit 4G and 5G signal boosters for homes and rural properties the towers struggle to reach.

How does pricing work?

The call-out fee is $99 and covers the first half hour on site. If the job needs more than that, you get the full price before any work begins, and we never carry on into extra work without checking with you first.
