Your local TV team in Red Rock

Red Rock is a quiet village, the last stop at the top of our run, and its television travels further than anyone else's on our books: 48.9 km from the Mount Moombil transmitter, the longest signal path in our service area. The path is clear, though, and Moombil is a high-power site, so the job here is antenna work done properly: the right antenna, aimed south-west at the mountain, on a mount that can live with the salt. The Emerald Heights and Woolgoolga towers are the closer alternatives when a particular block does better on them.

Plenty of Red Rock places sit empty between holidays, so we build the roof gear to be left alone: connections sealed and every fitting rated for salt, because the village is 2.2 km from the water and the sea air works on anything left up there.

Our most commonly asked questions

Which transmitter does Red Rock TV come from?

Mount Moombil, 48.9 km to the south-west, on channels 35 to 39. It is the longest transmitter path anywhere in our service area, but it is a clear one, and Moombil broadcasts at 150 kW, 210 kW for ABC and SBS. The Emerald Heights and Woolgoolga sites are the closer alternatives for blocks that suit them.

Does salt air really wreck antennas at Red Rock?

It wrecks the hardware around them. The village is 2.2 km from the beach, close enough that standard mounts, brackets and connections corrode years before the antenna element wears out. We fit mounts and fixings made for coastal salt as standard this far up the coast.

What about a holiday house that sits empty for months?

We set the roof gear up to be left alone: sealed connections, corrosion-resistant hardware, and a signal level tested and recorded before we leave. The aim is a TV that simply works when the house fills up again, without a service call first.

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes. One year on parts and two years on workmanship, plus free phone advice if something plays up after we have gone.

My picture keeps dropping out, can you fix reception?

Most reception problems come down to the antenna, the cabling or the signal level. We test it on site and fix the actual cause, not just the symptom.

Can you get me internet where there is no good signal?

Yes. We install and align Starlink, and fit 4G and 5G signal boosters for homes and rural properties the towers struggle to reach.

How does pricing work?

The call-out fee is $99 and covers the first half hour on site. If the job needs more than that, you get the full price before any work begins, and we never carry on into extra work without checking with you first.
