The Coffs Harbour North transmitter sits at Emerald Heights, 900 m north of town, which makes Emerald Beach about the shortest signal run anywhere on our patch. Short does not mean simple. Emerald Heights is the only vertically polarised TV site on this coast, so an antenna mounted flat for the Moombil signal is in the wrong plane for the tower next door, and the meter shows it. We set antennas up correctly for it, and for the blocks that do better on Mount Moombil, that path works here too.
With the mix of established homes and newer builds tucked into the bush here, plenty of Emerald Beach jobs are inside work: wall-mounted TVs with the cables hidden properly. Outside, the town is 700 m from the sand, and the gear that goes on a roof here is picked with that in mind.

Where does Emerald Beach TV actually come from?
From the tower up the road: the Coffs Harbour North site at Emerald Heights, 900 m north of town, broadcasting channels 28 to 32 at 200 watts. Mount Moombil, the big regional transmitter, also reaches the area as a second option, on channels 35 to 39.
Why does polarisation matter for my antenna?
An antenna only collects a signal cleanly when its elements sit in the same plane the transmitter broadcasts in. Emerald Heights transmits vertically and every other tower on this coast transmits horizontally, so the same antenna gets mounted differently depending on which tower it faces. Wrong plane, weak signal, even with the aim spot on.
Which direction should an antenna face in Emerald Beach?
Almost due north at Emerald Heights, mounted for vertical polarisation. If it faces west instead, it is set up for Mount Moombil, which also serves the area. The two towers use different channel groups, 28 to 32 against 35 to 39, so we check which group the TV is tuned to before changing anything on the roof.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes. One year on parts and two years on workmanship, plus free phone advice if something plays up after we have gone.
My picture keeps dropping out, can you fix reception?
Most reception problems come down to the antenna, the cabling or the signal level. We test it on site and fix the actual cause, not just the symptom.
Can you get me internet where there is no good signal?
Yes. We install and align Starlink, and fit 4G and 5G signal boosters for homes and rural properties the towers struggle to reach.
How does pricing work?
The call-out fee is $99 and covers the first half hour on site. If the job needs more than that, you get the full price before any work begins, and we never carry on into extra work without checking with you first.
